Job summary

IET PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated youth support worker to provide emotional and behavioural assistance to students aged 12-18 within school settings.

You will foster well-being and positive learning experiences. Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or related Social Science preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with youths aged 12-18 in schools, residential homes, or community centres preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and student engagement skills.
• Patient and empathetic approach while maintaining professional boundaries.

Job Summary

Provide emotional and behavioural support to students aged 12-18, fostering positive relationships and engagement to enhance their well-being and learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver initial support to students facing emotional, behavioural, and well-being challenges to promote their stability and growth
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students to provide mentoring, guidance, and emotional support that encourages personal development
• Facilitate student engagement programmes and group activities to support students requiring additional attention and foster inclusion
• Apply de-escalation strategies during challenging situations to help students regain composure and return to classroom learning effectively
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns to relevant school personnel for timely intervention
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook proficiently to manage communications and documentation

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or a related Social Science field preferred
• At least 1 year of experience working with youths aged 12-18 in schools, residential homes, or community centres preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and student engagement skills to effectively connect with and support youths
• Patient and empathetic approach to managing challenging situations calmly while maintaining professional boundaries

• Monday & Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday (Odd Weeks): 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM with a
• 30-minute lunch break
