Job summary

SIM LIAN CONSTRUCTION CO. (PTE.) LTD. is seeking a WSHE Coordinator to help manage safety, health and environment on our project site in Singapore.

You will assist the WSHEO with IMS implementation on site and coordinate with client representatives to ensure WSHE compliance. Responsibilities include daily WSHE inspections, ensuring toolbox talks are conducted and documented, verifying training and PPE use, and supporting incident investigations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily WSHE inspections and rectify unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure Daily Toolbox Meetings are conducted by contractors and documented.
• Verify workers' WSHE training attendance and PPE usage.
• Coordinate with Client's Representatives on WSHE matters.
• Assist WSHEO in accident investigations and report preparation.
• Check emergency equipment, including first aid, fire-fighting equipment and AED, and arrange servicing.
• Maintain WSHE filing system and improve documentation processes.
• Assist in Monthly WSHE Committee Inspections and promotions.

Job description

WSHE Coordinator (Project Site)

• Assist WSHEO in Implementing IMS onsite.
• Check on the sub-contractors' work to ensure that they comply with the WSHE regulations & requirements.
• Conduct daily WSHE inspection and rectify/correct any unsafe conditions and unsafe practices immediately.
• Attend all WSHE meetings, inspections and ensure that the site is maintained in good condition.
• Ensure that Daily Toolbox Meetings are conducted by respective contractors and staff and to be documented.
• To verify all workers and staff have attended relevant WSHE training courses.
• Educate the workers about the proper usage of PPE.
• To verify documents of the lifting equipment, electrical equipment testing/calibration reports.
• Coordinate with the Client's Representatives on WSHE matters.
• Issuance of EHS Infringement Notices against the WSHE violations and non-compliances.
• Facilitate the Monthly Site WSHE Committee Inspection and meeting.
• Assist WSHEO in the accident investigation and report preparation.
• Assist WSHEO in organizing Monthly WSHE Promotion.
• Check and ensure the availability of first aid boxes, fire-fighting equipment and AED. And, to follow up on the servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure that emergency evacuation and escape route are being communicated to all stakeholders on site.
• Ensure that WSHE filling system is well maintained and controlled.
• Any other duties as instructed by your reporting officers.
• As an Assessor for the daily Permit-To-Work submissions via e-PTW app or physical documentation for high-risk activities.
