Job summary

Samwoh Corporation Pte Ltd is seeking a WSH Officer/Coordinator to identify workplace risks, recommend safety measures, and support implementation of safe work procedures. Qualifications

• Possess at least a Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor’s Degree in WSH or related.
• MOM registered WSH Officer with Level C Certificate for the WSH Officer position.
• Level B Certificate in WSH for WSH Coordinator position.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess foreseeable risks arising from the workplace or work processes.
• Recommend practicable measures to eliminate or minimize risks to people at work.
• Advise on safe work procedures and assist in implementing measures.
• Investigate incidents/accidents and propose remedial actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with authorities on safety and health matters and ensure compliance with local laws.
• Prepare and conduct EHS training for employees identified in RA and SWP.
• Monitor WSH performance and discuss results in WHS committee meetings.
• Support site safety personnel for incidents or violations and assist with inspections.

Education

Specialist Diploma in WSH

Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or related

MOM registered WSH Officer with Level C Certificate

Level B Certificate in WSH

Job description

• To assist the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes therein;

• To recommend to the occupier of the workplace or other in charge of the workplace reasonably practicable measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work in that workplace or may be affected by the occupier’s undertaking in the workplace;

• To recommend to the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace where it is not reasonably practicable measures, to minimize the risk, and safe work procedures to control the risk;

• To assist the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace implements the measure or safe work procedures;

• To investigate any incidents/accidents and advise on the remedial measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence;

• To work closely with the relevant authorities on safety and health matters;

• Making certain that all ordinances or orders bearing on occupational safety and health and environmental are complied with local laws;

• To prepare and conduct the EHS training for all employees which are identified in RA and SWP;

• Measure and monitor the WSH performance of the project and discuss WSH performance in the WHS committee meetings;

• To assist construction site safety personnel for any incident or violation;

• To review Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) and update if there is any new, regulations or amendment;

• To assist other departments (internal), for inspection, audits or any other matter to the workplace

Requirement:

• Possess at least a Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace safety and health (WSH) or related;

• MOM registered WSH Officer with Level C Certificate in WSH for WSH Officer Position;

• Level B Certificate in WSH for WSH Coordinator position;

• At least 2 years of work experience relevant as a WSH Officer/WSH Coordinator
