Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is hiring a Safety Officer to lead WSH and environmental management across project sites in Singapore. You will develop, implement and monitor systems, conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with the WSH Act.

The ideal candidate has a Safety Officer Training or Specialist Diploma in WSH and is a Registered ECO, with at least 2 years of WSH experience in construction. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must complete Safety Officer Training or Specialist Diploma in WSH.
• Be a Registered ECO with valid credentials.
• At least 2 years WSH experience, incl. construction sites.
• Solid knowledge of WSH Act, regs, and legal requirements.
• Familiar with WSHMS and safety management practices.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems across project sites.

• Conduct site inspections, maintain safety records and ensure compliance with established safety procedures.

• Ensure site operations comply with the WSH Act, regulations and applicable legal requirements.

• Review risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

• Report and investigate workplace incidents and implement appropriate follow-up actions.

• Attend site meetings and resolve HSE-related issues.

• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety practices and programmes.

Requirements:

• Safety Officer Training Course or Specialist Diploma in WSH.

• Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO).

• Minimum 2 years of WSH experience, including at least 2 years in a construction site environment.

• Good knowledge of the WSH Act, subsidiary legislation and applicable legal requirements.

• Familiar with Workplace Safety & Health Management Systems (WSHMS).

• Familiar with OHSAS 18001:2007, SS 506:2009 and ISO 14001.

• Good understanding of construction works across various trades.

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
