Job summary

GMP Technologies (S)Pte Ltd is seeking a Safety Officer to develop, implement, and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems across project sites in Singapore. You will conduct site inspections, maintain records, and ensure compliance with the WSH Act and related regulations.

The role requires a Safety Officer Training Course or Specialist Diploma in WSH and registration as ECO, with at least 2 years of WSH experience in construction.

Qualifications

• Requires Safety Officer Training or Specialist Diploma in WSH.
• Registered ECO.
• Minimum 2 years WSH experience on construction sites.
• Good knowledge of the WSH Act and related legal requirements.
• Familiar with WSHMS and relevant standards (WSHMS, OHSAS/ISO).

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor WSH and Environmental Management Systems across project sites.

• Ensure compliance with WSH Act and regulations.
• Review risk assessments and implement corrective actions.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems across project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, maintain safety records and ensure compliance with established safety procedures.
• Ensure site operations comply with the WSH Act, regulations and applicable legal requirements.
• Review risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Report and investigate workplace incidents and implement appropriate follow-up actions.
• Attend site meetings and resolve HSE-related issues.
• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety practices and programmes.

Requirements:

• Safety Officer Training Course orSpecialist Diploma in WSH.
• Registered Environmental Control Officer(ECO).
• Minimum 2 years of WSH experience, including at least 2years in a construction site environment.
• Good knowledge of the WSH Act, subsidiary legislation and applicable legal requirements.
• Familiar with Workplace Safety & Health Management Systems(WSHMS).
• Familiar with OHSAS 18001:2007, SS 506:2009 and ISO 14001.
• Good understanding of construction works across various trades.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
