The company has an elite team of recovery specialists who specialise in disaster inspection, provide professional advice for loss mitigation, recovery procedures and decontamination of affected facilities.
Job Summary
You will oversee all workshop operations to ensure equipment, machinery, and Site Kits are maintained in operational condition and ready for rapid deployment. You will manage workshop organization, safety, and inventory accuracy to support efficient restoration services.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain equipment, machinery, and Site Kits in operational condition to ensure readiness for deployment at short notice
- Organize and store consumables and assets systematically to enable quick and accurate identification
- Keep the workshop and workplace clean and well-organized to promote safety for personnel and safe operation of equipment
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory to support efficient workshop management and asset tracking
- Monitor and enforce safety standards to protect personnel and maintain equipment integrity
- Ensure faulty equipment (fixed and mobile) is repaired, overhauled or replaced as necessary, in a a timely manner, to maintain operational effectiveness
- Maintain proper ground of electrical equipment
- Maintain seismic restraints /nets on warehouse storage racks/shelving and other fixed assets, as necessary (according to location - earthquake zones in particular)
- Ensure that De-Ionized water generating equipment is well maintained, that DI water is within the acceptable range according to BELFOR's standards/operational procedures, and that resin is replaced when necessary
- Facilitate and assist minor building maintenance as necessary
Project Logistics Support
- Coordinate preparation, packing, dispatch, and return of equipment and Site Kits to and from project sites
- Maintain accurate records of equipment allocation, movement, and availability in coordination with Project Managers
- Ensure equipment is inspected, cleaned, and serviceable prior to deployment and upon return from site
- Support short-notice mobilizations and project schedule requirements.
Project Procurement
- Review project and workshop inventory requirements and identify procurement needs
- Source and raise purchase requisitions for project-specific consumables, spare parts, tools, and equipment
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, place orders, and track delivery status
- Ensure procured items meet technical, operational, and safety requirements
- Receive, verify, and record procured items into inventory systems and ensure correct allocation to projects.
Workplace
- Floors and walkways should be always clean and free of hazards/obstacles
- Properly label containers and maintain an up-to-date database of MSDS for all BELFOR chemicals
- Maintain security of the workshop and access control during working hours
- Manage workshop waste as necessary
- Ensure that fire extinguishers and emergency lighting are maintained in a safe and operational condition
- Proactively improve workshop design and workflow to optimize efficiency and safe operations
- Identify and implement improvements to workshop layout and flow to support safe, efficient operations
Regular Tasks (Weekly/Monthly)
- Review inventory levels and advise the need to re-order as necessary
- Source and raise purchase requisitions materials that include spare parts, and consumables to maintain workshop healthy inventory
- Document equipment defects and reinstatement options (repair, overhaul, replace etc.)
- Ensure regular cleaning of the workshop areas and maintain access control devices (keys, key cards etc.)
- Conduct quarterly stock take of inventory and report to line manager
- Maintain a record of inventory deployed to/from project sites, in coordination with the assigned Project Manager
Job Requirements
- Nitec (Logistic /Supply chain) / Diploma in Warehouse Management
- Some prior relevant working experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, handling machinery, maintenance and/or storage of equipment would be advantageous.
