Job summary

Marina Bay Sands PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Sommelier with deep knowledge of wines, sake, and cocktails to enhance the restaurant beverage program. You will manage wine storage, curate the list, and upsell to guests with expert recommendations.

The role requires strong communication, ongoing staff education, and the ability to uphold service standards while maximizing beverage sales. On-site, flexible shifts are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of wine and sake, and service.
• Excellent communication skills for guest interaction.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wine/sake placement in cellars and cabinets.
• Update beverage list to reflect current products and vintages.
• Upsell wines/sakes to guests and advise on pairings.
• Communicate guest feedback on beverage list to management.
• Maintain wine and sake par levels and ensure stock accuracy.
• Ensure proper glassware, bar equipment, and POS maintenance.
• Execute beverage promotions to drive beverage sales.
• Educate staff on wine, sake, and cocktail knowledge.
