auterra is a wine-centric destination that combines a curated wine bar with a fine wine retail offering, connecting guests with bottles they will love. We seek a passionate Sommelier to guide guests through our curated selection and grow both our wine bar and retail business.

You will lead wine service, upsell thoughtfully, and build lasting relationships with collectors and enthusiasts in a growing wine-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a sommelier, wine specialist, wine retail, or wine-focused hospitality role.
• Solid knowledge of major wine regions—France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Australia, and the United States.
• Understanding of wine service, decanting, storage, and cellar management.
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
• A sales-oriented mindset — confident recommending wines across different price points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised wine service creating memorable experiences for every guest.
• Recommend wines based on guest preferences, occasions and budgets with warmth.
• Present, open, decant, and serve wines to professional standards.
• Share knowledge on producers, vintages, regions, and winemaking philosophies.
• Build genuine long-term relationships with regular guests and private clients.
