Job summary

STYLEZ PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a motivated Western Chef to join our Orchard-area restaurant team.

You will be responsible for the Western hot kitchen section under the Head Chef and contribute to daily cooking, mise en place and quality control. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience, basic cooking and knife skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience.
• Experience in Western cuisine or Western hot kitchen is preferred.
• Basic cooking and knife skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and work weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily preparation and cooking for the Western hot kitchen section.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
• Mise en place and ingredient preparation.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portioning.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen.
• Assist with stock preparation, storage and inventory.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
• Support other kitchen duties when required.
