Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD seeks an operations professional to perform pre-processing checks, validations and risk controls for client payments and transactions in Singapore. You will verify approvals, identify discrepancies, and handle complex transactions including internal transfers, cheques, cash withdrawals, and standby letters of credit.

You will also conduct callback verifications, resolve BAU queries, and perform end-of-day controls to ensure compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-processing checks for client-related payments and transactions.
• Verify that the necessary approvals and instructions have been obtained.
• Identify and escalation of any discrepancies or deviations from procedures.
• Handle transactions including: Payments Internal transfers Cheque issuance Cash withdrawals Standby Letters of Credit / Banker's Guarantees Deposit placements Deposit rollovers and withdrawals.
• Conduct and verify callbacks for asset transfers and static data updates in accordance with procedures and policies.
• Retrieve and validate callbacks completed by the Business team before transactions are processed by Operations.
• Handle BAU operational queries and issues, ensuring timely resolution or escalation where required.
• Perform end-of-day control checks and ensure all BAU activities are completed accurately.
• Act as a control function when interacting with Front Office and identify potential operational or risk issues.
• Ensure exception processing is carried out strictly according to approved conditions.
• Complete end-of-day reviews and sign off on required checklists.
• Handle queries from Business and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure queries are resolved within the required timeframe.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate teams.
• Identify control gaps and opportunities to improve operational processes.
• Work with the team to enhance process efficiency and controls.
• Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives when required.
