on behalf of a Singapore-based water treatment specialist is recruiting a hands-on Water Treatment Technician to support field service operations across commercial and industrial sites. You will perform routine servicing, sampling, chemical dosing checks, and safety-compliant maintenance of cooling towers and boilers, with company vehicle provided for site visits and training offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in related technical disciplines.
• Hands-on technical experience in cooling towers, boilers, ACMV or dosing systems is advantageous.
• Entry-level or career-switch candidates with mechanical/electrical aptitude are welcome; training provided.
• Ability to handle water treatment chemicals safely with PPE and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, monitoring and preventive maintenance of cooling towers and boiler water systems at customer sites.
• Carry out on-site water sampling and chemical testing (pH, conductivity, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, chlorine).
• Inspect and troubleshoot dosing pumps, tanks, sensors and control systems.
• Replenish chemicals and calibrate dosing rates to keep operating parameters
• Inspect cooling towers, boiler feedwater and condensate lines for scaling, corrosion or biological fouling.
• Prepare service reports, log sheets and chemical consumption records after each visit.
• Ensure safe handling, transport and storage of chemicals in compliance with EHS and PTW.
• Coordinate courteously with site engineers and facility staff during servicing.

Job description

About the Role:

This position is advertised on behalf of our client, an established commercial and industrial water treatment and facilities engineering solutions provider in Singapore.

We are seeking a hands-on Water Treatment Technician to join their field service operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine servicing, inspection, and maintenance of cooling tower and boiler water treatment systems across commercial buildings and industrial facilities islandwide.

This is a field-based technical role involving travel between customer premises. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related transit. Candidates without prior water treatment experience are welcome to apply, as structured, on-the-job training will be provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine servicing, operational monitoring, and preventive maintenance of cooling tower and boiler water treatment systems at customer sites.
• Carry out on-site water sampling and chemical testing (including pH, conductivity/TDS, hardness, alkalinity, and biocide/chlorine residual).
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical dosing pumps, dosing tanks, sensors, and water treatment control systems.
• Replenish water treatment chemicals and calibrate dosing rates to ensure optimal operating parameters.
• Inspect cooling towers, boiler feedwater, and condensate lines for abnormalities such as scaling, corrosion, or biological fouling.
• Prepare accurate service reports, log sheets, and chemical consumption records after each site visit.
• Ensure safe handling, transport, and storage of chemicals in full compliance with workplace safety, EHS, and site permit-to-work requirements.
• Liaise courteously with site facility executives, building engineers, and plant maintenance personnel during servicing.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence (essential for operating the company vehicle provided for site visits).
• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
• Prior technical or servicing experience in cooling towers, boilers, ACMV/chillers, water treatment plants, or dosing pump systems is advantageous.
• Entry-level candidates or mid-career switchers with hands-on mechanical or electrical aptitude and a willingness to learn are welcome to apply (training provided).
• Able to perform hands-on field technical work and handle water treatment chemicals safely with appropriate PPE.
• Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and capable of managing assigned site schedules independently.

Training & Development:

Comprehensive on-the-job training and guidance will be provided covering:

• Industrial cooling tower and boiler water chemistry
• Water testing methods, test kit operation, and chemical dosing controls
• Preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of dosing equipment
