Job summary

800 Super Waste Management Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a hands-on technician to maintain and troubleshoot wastewater treatment equipment. You will assist in operating pumps, a filter press, and a centrifuge, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will support daily operations, perform 5S/TPM housekeeping, and handle basic duties such as forklift driving, working at height, and confined-space entry. This role requires both written and spoken English proficiency.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Proficient in MS Office, email and internet research.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of wastewater treatment machines and processes.
• Support daily operations including wastewater transfer and operation of pumps, filter press, centrifuge, etc.
• Ensure equipment (pumps, agitator, blower) are in working condition with minimal downtime and regular servicing.
• Ensure all calibrations and inspections are up to date and comply with EHS rules.
• Maintain treated wastewater discharge within sewer limits.
• Daily housekeeping and 5S/TPM activities in the work area.
• Basic duties include forklift driving, working at height, and entry into confined spaces.

• Perform equipment, wastewater facilities maintenance and troubleshooting of wastewater treatment machines/processes.

• Support superiors in execution of daily operation activities, such as wastewater transferring, usage of various pump, operating filter press, centrifuge etc.

• Ensuring all equipment (pumps, agitator, blower etc) is in working condition with minimum downtime and regular servicing is carried out

• Ensure all designated equipment/instrumentation calibrations and inspections are up to date Adhere strictly by all EHS rules and regulations imposed by the company

• Ensure the treated wastewater compliance with sewer discharge limit.

• To do the daily housekeeping and other 5S/TPM activities in the work area.

• Basic role – Forklift driving, work at height and entering into confined space are required to fulfill daily duties

Job Requirement

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.

• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research).

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

• Able to perform overtime/shift work
