Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Waste Management Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the waste management facility in Singapore. You will implement efficient collection, processing, and disposal procedures while leading a team of department heads.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field, 5+ years in waste management with at least 2 years in a managerial role, strong budgeting and regulatory knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
• Proven experience (5+ years) in waste management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, waste disposal methods, and recycling practices
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyse data, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Certification in waste management or related fields may be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Oversea day to day operations of the waste management facility.
• Implement efficient waste collection, transportation, processing, and disposal procedures.
• Develop and execute long-term strategic plans, policies, and procedures for efficient waste collection, disposal, and recycling.
• Identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and revenue generation.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
• Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective measures.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
• Foster a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Ensure all waste handling and disposal activities adhere to environmental regulations.
• Implement best practices for waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
• Promote a safety-first culture and enforce safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure quality control.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and manage a team of department heads and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure the efficient and effective operation of all departments, including production, sales, marketing, and customer service.
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
