Job summary

The Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited is seeking a leader for the Financial Insights & Value Management team in Singapore. You will drive forward‑looking analysis of value creation across EV, NBEV and IFRS 17 frameworks, partnering with actuarial, finance and business units to translate metrics into strategic actions.

You will oversee planning, forecasting and performance reporting, identifying risks and opportunities and communicating insights to senior management to sustain earnings

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science or related quantitative discipline.
• Actuarial qualification or significant progress toward qualification.
• 7–10 years actuarial experience in life insurer/reinsurer/actuarial consulting.
• Experience in financial planning, performance management or analytics with BI tools preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EV, IFRS 17 and Singapore RBC.
• Proficient in Prophet, Excel/VBA, SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; translate analyses into insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across groups.

Responsibilities

• Produce Embedded Value (EV), New Business EV (NBEV) and IFRS 17 metrics.
• Monitor value/ profitability of new business and identify risks and opportunities.
• Perform actual‑versus‑expected analyses to drive actions.
• Lead annual planning and regular forecasting of financial metrics.
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, distribution and business teams to drive profitability and growth.
• Support strategic initiatives across the Group.
• Stay aware of regulatory developments and market trends.
