Job summary

DBS Bank Asia Central is seeking a senior Trade Finance professional to lead a team of Document Checkers for Import, Export and Standby LC processing. You will oversee resources, training, and daily BAU challenges while upholding UCP, ISP 98, AML guidelines and sanctions requirements.

With 8+ years in trade finance, CDCS would be advantageous. You will drive process improvements, mentor team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate document checking and risk controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Trade Finance Processing with knowledge of UCP, ISP 98 and AML rules
• CDCS certification would be an advantage
• Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Familiar with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Trade Finance Document Checkers
• Ensure SOPs and controls are followed by operations teams
• Review Trade Finance applications and documents for Import, Export and Standby LC
• Review LC transfer and confirmation terms for compliance
• Identify discrepancies and flag items for approval
• Ensure compliance with UCP, ISP 98, AML, sanctions and internal policies
• Oversee daily operations to meet deadlines and SLAs
• Develop and monitor team KPIs; provide coaching
