Job summary

SMBC Group Singapore is seeking an experienced credit professional to join the APAC Credit Department. You will review credit applications from business units as the 2nd line of defense, determine credit decisions, and monitor exposures for large corporates while ensuring compliance with risk policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics.
• 7–10 years of credit analysis/credit approval experience.
• Knowledge of financial modeling, LBO and structured finance.
• Excellent English; strong written and spoken skills.
• Ability to prepare concise credit recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess credit applications as 2nd line of defense.
• Make independent credit decisions including evaluation, challenge and recommendation.
• Establish action plans for credits likely to deteriorate.
• Conduct credit portfolio analysis on groups, industry risks, ESG, etc.
• Monitor and control exposures to large corporates and key sectors.
• Discuss deal direction with business units to ensure policy compliance.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
