Job summary

Mizuho Bank, Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior banker to drive Sector Solutions and Structured Trade across Asia Pacific. You will define strategy, develop sector-specific solutions, and lead cross-functional collaboration with Sector Bankers, RMs, and Legal/Credit teams to grow the business.

You will manage end-to-end deal structuring, pitching, and execution, ensuring risk controls and a competitive market position while mentoring junior team members and coordinating with regional partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant trade finance and structuring solutions across industries and sectors.
• Structuring and transaction experience with strong knowledge of corporate credit and APAC cross-border regulations.
• Ability to build credibility with Client Management, Transaction Banking Sales teams, Credit and Legal.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deals and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategy and execution of Sector Solutions and Structured Trade across the Asia Pacific region.
• Develop sector-specific solutions to market to clients; ensure Sector Bankers and RMs can market and grow the business.
• Understand evolving sector needs and market changes; join sector bankers' calls to align client needs and deal flow.
• Ensure Sector Solutions are fit for purpose with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk, Treasury and Product Development teams.
• Drive growth of Sector P&L through active commercialization of Sector Solutions and ensure RoRA thresholds are met.
• Partner with FX and Cash teams to cross-sell FX and Cash with Trade through bundling and structuring.
• Support pitching, structuring and execution of transactions; complete end-to-end with memos, credit apps and external documents.
• Embed quality and detail in client touchpoints like proposals and pitches.
