Job summary

HSBC invites a high-caliber professional to join as Vice President, Risk and Control within International Wealth and Premier Banking. The role focuses on leading the First Line of Defence, shaping risk management, and ensuring robust controls across WPB activities.

You will oversee quality checks, drive risk-based QA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and reporting. This position aligns with HSBC’s global wealth and retail banking operations.

Qualifications

• To lead / influence the R&C and the broader WPB team.
• To establish appropriate operational controls based on risk assessments.
• To ensure sound processes to minimize operational risk in the WPB business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the First Line of Defence Risk Management Framework for SGH WPB and oversee RCAs, CMAs, KRIs, MI and reporting.
• Provide governance at applicable risk forums and collaborate with NFR lead to implement new Operational Risk framework.
• Lead a team of Quality control reviewers for account opening quality checks and perform QA on SQ checks.
