Job summary

Eames Consulting is partnering with a leading financial institution to appoint a VP-level expert in AI Governance, Responsible AI and AI Regulatory Risk. The role shapes the organisation's governance agenda to ensure safe, ethical, transparent and compliant AI adoption.

The successful candidate will lead governance frameworks, monitor regulatory expectations and advise senior stakeholders on risk, ethics and compliance within the AI lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in AI governance, risk or regulatory contexts.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and model risk.
• Experience in risk management, governance or regulatory environments.
• Financial services experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and enhancement of AI governance frameworks, policies and standards.
• Establish governance practices across the AI lifecycle from development to monitoring.
• Assess AI-related risks and implement controls and mitigations.
• Monitor AI regulations and translate them into practical governance requirements.

I’m currently partnering with a leading financial institution on a VP-level opportunity focused on AI Governance, Responsible AI and AI Regulatory Risk, as the organisation continues to strengthen its approach to the responsible adoption of AI.

This is a strategic opportunity for an experienced AI governance, AI risk, responsible AI or regulatory professional to play a key role in shaping the organisation’s AI governance agenda, helping ensure AI is adopted in a safe, ethical, transparent and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and enhancement of AI governance frameworks, policies and standards
• Establish governance practices across the AI lifecycle, from development and deployment through to ongoing monitoring
• Assess AI-related risks and establish appropriate controls and mitigation strategies
• Monitor emerging AI regulations and regulatory expectations, translating them into practical governance requirements
• Provide guidance to senior stakeholders on responsible AI, ethics, risk and regulatory compliance
• Drive awareness and training initiatives around AI governance, responsible AI and AI risk management

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience, with significant exposure to AI/ML, AI risk or AI governance
• Strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, model risk and responsible AI principles
• Experience across risk management, governance, compliance or regulatory environments
• Good knowledge of AI regulations and data privacy, with financial services experience highly preferred
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical and documentation skills
