Job summary

Digital Edge Data Center seeks a seasoned Vice President of Physical Security to own regional security strategy, standards, and control assurance for our 1.8GW hyperscale portfolio across Asia Pacific. You will set one security standard, drive incident doctrine, and ensure auditable evidence trails while reporting to the Chief Data Center Operations Officer.

The role oversees three directorates—Physical Security Operations, Security Technology & Systems, and Security Governance & Risk—and

Qualifications

• 12+ years of physical security or security operations experience.
• 6+ years in a senior leadership role managing managers or directors across multiple countries.
• Proven experience owning budgets, headcount planning, and org design for a multi-country security function.
• Experience governing outsourced guard-force and monitoring vendor contracts, SLA management, and incident command authority.
• Working technical knowledge of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection).
• Experience with security governance, risk management, and audits (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS).
• Experience leading security incidents and investigations in high-consequence environments.
• Experience in hyperscale or mission-critical environments with customer security audits.

Responsibilities

• Own Physical Security strategy, org design, and budget across regional footprint.
• Set policy and minimum control standards for access-control and surveillance.
• Oversee Physical Security Operations directorate: guard-force governance, investigations, vendor oversight.
• Oversee Security Technology & Systems: roadmap for access control, CCTV, integrations and escalation authority.
• Oversee Security Governance & Risk: maintain risk register, audits, and evidence closure.
• Ensure local security managers align with central standards and vendor oversight.
• Ensure security readiness at handover with integrated controls for energization.
• Lead executive reviews translating security posture and audit trends for leadership and customers.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve control effectiveness and resilience.
• Ensure compliance with information security, health & safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
