The Edge Partnership is seeking an experienced Senior Market Risk specialist to oversee market risk for a global commodities trading business, with a strong APAC focus on physical precious metals trading, including gold, silver and related derivatives.

You will work closely with front office trading teams to assess exposures, valuations and new products, while monitoring daily risk, limits, stress tests and concentration risks.

Formación

• Minimum 10 years of Market Risk experience within an investment bank, global commodities trading firm or financial institution.
• Strong hands-on experience in physical gold trading and precious metals markets, ideally covering physical bullion and related derivatives.
• Solid understanding of commodity market dynamics, physical trading exposures, supply chains and logistics.
• Experience in risk analytics, MTM, stress testing, derivatives valuation and exposure monitoring.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Front Office trading desks.

Our client, a well-established global investment bank with a strong presence in Asia is seeking an experience Senior Market Risk specialist to join them.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide market risk oversight for the global commodities trading business, with a particular focus on APAC, covering physical precious metals trading, including gold, silver and associated derivatives.
• Communicate effectively with front office trading teams to assess trading exposures, valuations, new products and emerging market risks.
• Monitor daily risk exposures, limits, stress testing and concentration risks, ensuring positions remain within the agreed risk appetite.
• Support the development and enhancement of risk methodologies, valuation frameworks and control infrastructure for the growing Metals business.
• Work collaboratively with Trading, Valuation and Risk teams to strengthen market risk governance and support business expansion.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of Market Risk experience within an investment bank, global commodities trading firm or financial institution.
• Strong hands-on experience in physical gold trading and precious metals markets, ideally covering physical bullion and related derivatives.
• Solid understanding of commodity market dynamics, physical trading exposures, supply chains and logistics.
