Job summary

MICHAEL PAGE INTERNATIONAL PTE LTD is partnering with a leading global commodities trading group to hire a Market Risk Manager focused on metals across Asia. You will monitor daily trading positions, risk exposures and P&L attribution, ensuring robust risk reporting for front-office desks and regional stakeholders.

You will collaborate with traders, IT and Risk teams to enhance ETRM/CTRM systems, validate pricing curves, and escalate breaches while supporting new trading products and strategies

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of market risk experience in commodities, metals preferred.
• Strong understanding of physical commodities, derivatives, hedging and market risks.
• Hands-on ETRM/CTRM experience including risk reporting and system config.
• Solid knowledge of P&L attribution, position monitoring and risk limits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily trading positions, market risk exposures and P&L attribution across metals portfolios.
• Oversee trade capture, pricing, valuation curves and mark-to-market calculations.
• Monitor activity against risk limits, escalate breaches and discrepancies.

Job Description

• Monitor daily trading positions, market risk exposures and P&L attribution across metals trading portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely risk reporting.
• Oversee trade capture, pricing and valuation curves, and mark-to-market calculations to ensure accurate representation of trading positions.
• Monitor trading activities against approved risk limits, identifying and escalating potential breaches, valuation discrepancies and unusual exposures.
• Collaborate with traders, IT and Risk Management teams to enhance ETRM/CTRM systems, improve risk reporting processes and support new trading products and strategies.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 3 years of market risk experience within the commodities trading industry, with metals trading exposure considered a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of physical commodities and derivatives trading, including trading positions, hedging activities and associated market risks.
• Hands-on ETRM/CTRM system experience, including trade capture, risk reporting, system configuration or enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of P&L attribution, position and exposure monitoring, pricing curves, valuation methodologies and trading risk limits.
