Job summary

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in Singapore seeks a Vice President, Credit Risk Management to lead risk strategies for the Credit Card and unsecured lending portfolio, ensuring regulatory alignment and sustainable profitability. You will collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Collections, Operations and regional teams to drive risk-reward balanced growth.

You will analyze data, refine risk models, and ensure strong second-line oversight in line with HSBC Risk Management

Qualifications

• Strong banking experience in retail credit risk management with a focus on the Credit Card portfolio.
• Solid understanding of consumer credit cycle, scorecards, analytics and profitability drivers.
• Well-developed analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis using statistical tools.
• Proven track record working with stakeholders across geographies and seniority levels.
• Self-motivated, critical thinker able to work independently while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure credit card and unsecured lending policies comply with regulations and guidelines.
• Support Senior Manager in unsecured lending reviews, audits, and governance forums.
• Refine and implement credit card portfolio risk management strategies for balanced profitability.
• Leverage data, models, and third-party insights to enable timely risk actions.
• Oversee risk models and controls, ensuring effective performance and governance.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, collections, operations and regional stakeholders.
• Support governance and regulatory requirements within the Risk and Compliance function.
