Job summary

Nomura in Singapore seeks an experienced Application Developer to join the Global Execution Services algo team. You will deliver new features, enhancements and fixes to the algo trading platform in a fast-paced environment.

You will work across the full project life cycle, collaborating with quants and front-office, and provide level 2/3 support while ensuring compliance with design standards and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years in designing/developing algorithmic trading systems for equity markets.
• Hands-on experience in Java and execution space (e.g., execution algorithms, SOR).
• Proven track record with market data feeds, OMS, and FIX protocol.
• Experience in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and enterprise messaging solutions.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks and low-latency optimization.
• Strong teamwork and self-direction, able to work across regions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new features, enhancements and bug fixes to the algo trading platform.
• Participate in the full project life cycle including analysis, design, development and testing.
• Provide level 2 and 3 support for front-office applications.
• Ensure adherence to architecture strategy and coding standards.
• Liaise with business and development teams on priorities and progress.
• Assist with projects for new systems or upgrades as needed.
