Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to manage virtualization, OS administration, and security across Windows and Linux. You will configure VM builds, maintain hypervisor clusters, and ensure compliant patching and hardening while aligning with change control and runbooks.

Responsibilities include automation with Terraform and Ansible, IAM, network configuration, and incident response within agreed SLAs.

Qualifications

• VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V and KVM administration.
• vCenter clusters, resource pools, DRS, HA, vMotion experience.
• Virtual machine provisioning and lifecycle management.
• OS patching and CIS hardening for Windows and Linux.
• Identity and access management, AD/GPO and SSH keys.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform; automation with Ansible.
• Git workflows for code reviews and collaboration.
• PXE/WDS based OS deployment pipelines.
• Firewall rules, network config and storage concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security posture with endpoint protection and compliance.
• Deploy log collection agents across the server fleet.
• Manage storage partitions, volumes and capacity.
• Contribute to automation and maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Respond to incidents within SLAs; participate in change reviews.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Provision and configure virtual machines following defined build standards and processes
• Manage hypervisor clusters - HA, DRS, vMotion, resource pools, snapshots and vCenter RBAC
• Administer Windows Server and Linux OS - configuration, patching and CIS hardening
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, SSH keys and certificate lifecycle
• Configure and maintain vSwitch, VLAN and virtual network settings within the hypervisor environment
• Build and maintain OS images and manage PXE-based re-imaging pipelines
• Configure and maintain system services, scheduled tasks, file sharing, print server and SFTP infrastructure
• Maintain security posture - endpoint protection, firewall rules and compliance policy enforcement
• Deploy and maintain log collection agents across the server fleet
• Manage disk partitions, volumes, filesystems and storage capacity
• Contribute to automation initiatives and maintain operational runbooks and documentation
• Respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents within agreed service levels
• Participate in change management and peer review of technical changes
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Hypervisor administration - VMware vSphere / ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V and KVM
• vCenter management - clusters, resource pools, distributed switches, HA, DRS and vMotion
• Virtual machine provisioning, snapshot management and VM lifecycle operations
• vSwitch and VLAN configuration - virtual network management within hypervisor environments
• OS re-imaging- PXE boot, WDS and automated OS deployment pipelines
• Windows Server administration - Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, Print Server and SFTP
• Linux administration - RHEL and Ubuntu; system configuration, service management and hardening
• OS patching and CIS hardening - enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks
• User and access management - account provisioning, group management and privilege control
• Infrastructure as code - Terraform or equivalent for VM provisioning and configuration
• Configuration management - Ansible or equivalent automation frameworks
• Security tools - endpoint protection, firewall management and compliance scanning
• File sharing protocols - NFS, CIFS and SMB server and client configuration
• Storage management- LVM, disk partitioning, filesystem lifecycle and capacity optimisation
• Certificate lifecycle management and Windows Certificate Authority
• Version control and code review - Git workflows and collaborative development practices
