Job summary

Keppel Capital International Pte Ltd is seeking a senior professional to lead investor onboarding for private funds and managed accounts. The role partners with client solutions, portfolio management, fund controller, legal and compliance to align fund strategies with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in private funds, deep asset knowledge, and experience in structuring, tax and legal advisory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with private funds and deep knowledge of alternative asset management.
• Strong academic qualification.
• Deep understanding of Real Asset markets and fund structuring is highly desirable.
• Legal and tax advisory experience would be preferred.
• Effective project management and organisational skills with laser focus on driving conversions.
• Familiarity with ESG or sustainability principles in investment execution.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation and interpersonal skills.
• A strong communicator with stakeholder management across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, structure and recommend optimal fund structures with tax and regulatory considerations.

• Prepare fee simulations for comparative analysis and decision-making.
• Explain complex structuring concepts to stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment of terms with EXCO approvals.
• Work with external counsels to draft and review LPAs, side letters and other docs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary Responsible for onboarding investors right from designing, implementing, and closing on investors for our private funds and separately managed accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with investors and cross functional teams including client solutions, portfolio management, fund controller, legal, and compliance, addressing an alignment of needs across fund strategies, sponsor considerations, investor needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Fund Design, Structuring Design and recommend optimal fund structures, considering tax, regulatory, and investor requirements.
• Identify and implement structuring solutions to meet specific investment strategies or investor needs
• Ensure fund structures comply with relevant regulatory requirements and laws.
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and assess impact on fund structures.
• Work closely with capital raisers, investment teams, portfolio managers, legal, compliance and operations to ensure seamless fund launches and operations.
• Fee Negotiation, Documentation: Negotiate fund fees and terms with prospective investors, ensuring alignment with fund strategy, investor appetite and respective EXCO approvals.
• Identify fee simulation for comparative analysis and decision-making
• Communicate complex structuring concepts to stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment of terms to EXCO approvals
• Work with external counsels to draft and review fund documentation, including LPAs, side letters and other relevant documentation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working with private funds and deep knowledge of alternative asset management industry, with a preference for private credit and/or infrastructure.
• Strong academic qualification
• Deep understanding of Real Asset markets and fund structuring are highly desirable.
• Legal and tax advisory experience would be preferred
• Effective project management and organisational skills with laser focus in driving conversions
• Familiarity with ESG or sustainability principles in investment execution is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation and interpersonal skills.
