Qualifications

• At least 12 years of investment experience in fund management or corporate finance/M&A.
• Experience specialising in power, energy and/or infrastructure.
• Strong academic qualifications and market research proficiency.
• Excellent financial modelling and due diligence skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior management in fund raising activities and deal execution.
• Analyze, originate, structure, negotiate and close new deals with due diligence and legal documentation.
• Monitor markets to source investment opportunities and advise on long-term risk-adjusted returns.
• Build and maintain relationships with investment partners, service providers, brokers and market participants.
• Assist in generating market awareness of Keppel’s investment mandate.
• Plan and implement asset management strategies and investment exits.
• Provide periodic reporting to investors and bespoke reports on assets.
• Benchmark asset performance against the market to meet investment targets.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and collaborate with internal specialist groups.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a key role in Keppel Fund Management & Investment, Infrastructure team that focuses on our investment activities in the regional market and managing the end-to end investment process. The key areas of responsibilities include originating potential deals, structuring and executing deal. The key objective of this role will be to contribute to the delivery of maximizing risk-adjusted investment returns for the business.

The successful candidate will possess superior analytical skills, commercial acumen and a high level of strategic thinking capacity. In addition, he or she is expected to have strong analytical and written (as well as verbal) presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior management in fund raising activities


• To undertake the analyzing, originating, structuring, negotiating, recommending and when approved, closing new deals, including due diligence and legal documentation, in accordance to the Investment Strategy mandated by the Investment Committee.


• To monitor all key markets to source for suitable investment opportunities and recommend suitable investment strategies that can help to deliver superior long-term risk adjusted returns.


• To build and maintain relationships with investment partners, service providers, brokers and other real estate market participants in the targeted key markets.


• To assist in generating market awareness of Keppel’s investment mandate.


• Plan and implement strategies around asset management and investment exits.


• Responsible for periodic reporting, including quarterly investor, annual, and bespoke reports regarding assets


• Benchmarking asset performance against the market to ensure that investment return targets are achieved.


• To provide assistance to other specialist groups within Keppel Fund Management & Investment when required.


• To provide guidance and mentoring to more junior members within the team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

• At least 12 years of relevant investment experience in fund management or corporate finance/M&A in investment banks or corporate principal investment team, specialising in power, energy and/or infrastructure


• Strong academic qualifications


• Proficient with market and industry research in infrastructure, or other private equity assets


• Very hands-on and detailed-orientated, willing and able to get hands dirty, strong financial modelling skills


• Ability to multi-task and work in fast pace dynamic environment


• Independent and critical thinker with exceptional analytical ability


• The ability to make effective investment and asset management decisions


• Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to interact well with different functions and levels


• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to communicate via Power Point, excel and orally


• Willing to travel frequently to the various key markets
