Job summary

Direct Search Global is seeking a Technical Executive to support procurement and the technical requirements of vessels managed by a ship management company in Singapore. You will source marine spare parts, process vessel requisitions, coordinate shipments and maintain supplier records.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of purchasing experience in ship management, preferably supporting tanker vessels. The role requires strong negotiation, coordination and problem-solving skills, with proficiency

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a ship management environment.
• Experience supporting tanker vessels is preferred.
• Familiarity with marine spare parts, machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process vessel requisitions for spare parts, equipment, stores and technical services.
• Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Evaluate quotations based on price, quality, availability and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and obtain internal approvals.
• Coordinate deliveries with vessels, suppliers, agents, freight forwarders and port representatives.
• Monitor order progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery arrangements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP data.
