Job summary

Talent Trace, partnering with a Grain Trading house, is seeking a Vessel Operator based in Singapore. You will own post-fixture execution on voyage charters, keep vessel files in order, and contribute to chartering as you grow in the firm.

Responsibilities include handling post-fixture operations, preparing charter parties, laytime statements, and settling demurrage/despatch, along with month-end invoicing. Mandarin is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years as vessel operator or charterer.
• Understanding of voyage and time charter party contracts.
• Experience resolving post-fixture and laytime disputes.

Responsibilities

• Handle post-fixture operations for voyage charters, keeping vessel files in order and acting early so contracts run smoothly.
• Prepare charter parties.
• Prepare laytime statements and settle demurrage and despatch.
• Handle month-end internal commission invoicing.
• Support chartering, with the potential to take on the Chartering Executive role alongside operations.
• Support the Division Head on chartering matters.
