Job summary

EASTAWAY SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. seeks a Vessel Manager responsible for the efficient operation of assigned ships.

You will work within the Ship Management Team, following company procedures and best practices to safeguard safety and the environment while ensuring health and safety compliance. You will report to the Fleet Manager, manage vessel reports, analyze costs and PMS, maintain data quality in the GL system, and coordinate with vessel command on work plans and budgets.

Qualifications

• Recognized marine engineering or naval architecture qualification.
• Good understanding of shore-based activities and implications.
• Able to administer technical and budgetary requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and file regular reports from assigned vessels in a structured way.
• Review routine vessel reports and follow up on actions.
• Conduct data analysis of costs, PMS and KPI factors to assess ship health.
• Maintain data quality in Ship manager system (GL) fed by crew.
• Develop dynamic work plans with vessel command and monitor progress.
• Visit vessels as required and report on condition, repairs, and costs.
• Prepare dockings' technical specifications and supervise pre-purchase inspections in Asia.
• Assist in technical analyses for new purchases and related assignments.
