Job summary

STAFFKING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a kitchen assistant to oversee day-to-day food service operations, ensuring meals meet nutritional, quality and statutory standards. You will supervise meal preparation and distribution and conduct regular checks on food quality.

The role centers on maintaining high food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety, assisting with meal prep according to menu requirements, and supporting storage and general kitchen tasks.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Food Hygiene Audit.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Able to follow food safety procedures and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Able to work well as part of a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day food service operations to ensure meals meet required nutritional, quality and statutory standards.
• Supervise meal preparation and distribution.
• Conduct regular checks on the quality and quantity of cooked and uncooked food.
• Assist with daily food preparation and cooking according to menu requirements and portion standards.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting and slicing.
• Assist kitchen staff with unloading and storing food supplies.
• Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with meal portioning, serving and general kitchen operations.
• Wash and properly store dishes, utensils, cooking equipment and cutting boards.
• Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.
• Remove garbage, replace garbage bags and maintain clean garbage bins.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
