talent trader group pte. ltd. seeks an experienced Finance Leader to run the Finance Department across Singapore and Malaysia. This role will supervise the full accounting cycle, drive month-end close, and provide insightful financial analysis for management decisions.

The ideal candidate has Chartered Accountant (Singapore) credentials with 7+ years in accounting, auditing, and finance leadership, and a strong grasp of Singapore standards and tax rules.

Qualificações

• Chartered Accountant (Singapore) qualification and ISCA membership.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting, finance and auditing experience.
• Audit experience: at least 3 years.
• Strong understanding of SFRS, GST, corporate taxation and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Finance Department, managing a team of accounting and finance personnel across Singapore and Malaysia.

• Supervise the complete accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and month-end closing activities.

• Review monthly financial statements, management reports and financial performance to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

• Manage annual budget preparation, financial projections and periodic forecasts to support business planning and management decisions.

• Evaluate business performance, operating costs, revenue trends and profit margins, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

• Oversee cash flow planning, working capital requirements, banking arrangements and treasury-related activities.

• Provide financial analysis, business insights and recommendations to senior management to support commercial and operational decisions.

• Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, taxation requirements, GST regulations and relevant statutory obligations.

• Coordinate external audits, corporate tax matters, regulatory submissions and financial reporting requirements.

• Review and enhance financial controls, accounting procedures and internal policies to strengthen governance and minimise financial risks.

• Partner with operational departments and management to monitor expenditure, optimise resource allocation and improve financial performance.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, strengthen reporting processes and improve efficiency through system enhancements and automation.

• Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, tax advisers and other external stakeholders on financial and accounting matters.

• Support corporate governance, compliance documentation, sustainability reporting and other relevant business requirements.

• Coach, guide and develop finance team members while ensuring effective delegation, accountability and timely completion of deliverables.

• Participate in financial improvement initiatives, business expansion activities and other projects assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, with Chartered Accountant (Singapore) qualification and ISCA membership.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance and auditing, including at least 3 years of audit experience and 3 years in a finance managerial capacity.

• Strong background in full-spectrum accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation and cash flow management.

• Proven experience supervising and developing accounting or finance teams.

• Good understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, corporate taxation and statutory compliance requirements.

• Strong financial analytical skills with the ability to interpret business performance and provide practical recommendations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Jet Reports will be advantageous.

• Prior experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain or other operationally intensive industries will be an added advantage.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented, commercially minded and capable of managing multiple deadlines independently.
