Job summary

OMNILOJO PTE. LTD. is seeking a Unity VFX Artist to create high-quality real-time visual effects for a realistic game project. You will own effects from concept through final integration in Unity, shaping combat feedback, environmental visuals, and player actions.

Collaborate with animation, gameplay, engineering, design, and art teams to ensure the effects deliver strong visual impact, readable gameplay, and optimized performance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Portfolio or demo reel showcasing real-time VFX for games.
• Ability to independently deliver complete effects from concept to final in-engine implementation.
• Strong understanding of realistic or semi-realistic VFX, including natural motion, scale, timing, lighting, and physical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Create real-time VFX for character abilities, combat actions, weapons, impacts, and environments.
• Develop effects such as fire, smoke, explosions, electricity, energy fields, shockwaves, trails, debris, and atmospheric effects.
• Shape effect timing, scale, composition, motion, and intensity to support gameplay readability and combat impact.
• Own VFX assets from concept and prototyping through implementation, iteration, optimization, and final delivery.
• Create particle systems, flipbook textures, mesh-based effects, materials, animated materials, and Shader Graph effects in Unity.
• Collaborate with animators, designers, engineers, and technical artists to integrate effects into gameplay.
• Evaluate effects in actual gameplay and refine them against the project's visual and performance standards.
• Optimize overdraw, particle counts, shader complexity, and memory usage while maintaining visual quality.
• Resolve visual and technical issues and contribute to VFX workflows and quality standards.
