Synapxe is offering an Uni Internship Jan to July 2027 in AI-driven IT Operations and Security Automation at Nexus @One - North, Singapore. The role focuses on leveraging AI and automation to enhance IT operations and security management, including building AI-powered chatbots, knowledge bases, automated workflows, and dashboards for vulnerability data and incident handling.

You will research KTLO processes, develop AI chatbots, visualise data, automate workflows, and contribute to POC

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in Year 2 or 3 pursuing relevant degree.
• Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with chatbot development or conversational AI is a plus.
• Familiar with dashboard/data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of workflow automation tools such as MS Power Platform or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn new tech.
• Adaptable, proactive, and a good team player.
• Leadership qualities with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and process analysis across IT systems to keep KTLO workflows efficient.
• Build and maintain a centralised knowledge base for IT operations and AI chatbots.
• Design dashboards to track project/stakeholder info, software/assets, maintenance contracts, and vulnerabilities.
• Automate workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support security incident management with structured playbooks and incident tracking.
• Prototype POCs using Power Platform and GenAI tools to enhance IT ops and security.

This project focuses on leveraging AI and automation technologies to enhance IT operations and security management.
The intern will contribute to building intelligent solutions such as AI-powered chatbots, knowledge bases, automated workflows, and dashboards, enabling more efficient handling of operational tasks, vulnerability management, and security incidents.

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

1. Research & Process Analysis

• Analyse existing KTLO (Keep The Lights On) processes and workflows across IT systems
• Study common user requests and security incident handling procedures
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimisation

2. Knowledge Base & AI Chatbot Development

• Develop and maintain a centralised knowledge base for IT operations
• Build AI-powered chatbots to handle common IT support queries
• Improve accessibility and efficiency of operational support processes
• Design and develop interactive dashboards to track:
  - Project and stakeholder information
  - Software and asset inventories
  - Maintenance contracts
  - Vulnerability data (e.g., CVE tracking)
• Enable better visibility and decision-making through data visualisation

4. Process Automation

• Automate workflows such as:
  - Whitelist request processes (e.g., HVB)
  - Vulnerability assessment and reporting (e.g., EVMS)
• Improve process efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time

5. Security Incident Management

• Digitise and streamline security incident playbooks
• Support development of structured workflows for incident response and tracking

6. Proof of Concept (POC) Development

• Explore and develop POCs using platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform and GenAI tools
• Prototype innovative solutions to enhance IT operations and security processes

About You:

• Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline
• Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with chatbot development or conversational AI platforms is an added advantage
• Familiar with dashboard and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of workflow automation tools such as MS Power Platform or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Adaptable, proactive, and a strong team player
• Demonstrate leadership qualities with good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
