Job summary

Synapxe invites undergraduates in Year 2 or 3 to join the Transformation, Methods and Performance (TMP) team for the Uni Internship Jan to July 2027 in Singapore. You will support cost and performance analysis, data-driven decision making, and GenAI-enabled productivity initiatives within Singapore's healthcare IT landscape.

You will gain hands-on experience in analysing unit costs, preparing dashboards, and coordinating the G.R.O.S.S.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate in Year 2 or 3 pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business AI Systems, Economics, Business, or relatedfield
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentations
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualisation tools is an advantage
• Strong interest in GenAI and its applications in productivity, analytics, and process improvement
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost and performance analysis across healthcare IT systems and services.
• Contribute to data analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency.
• Help prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating findings and recommendations.
• Support G.R.O.S.S. initiative coordination, idea tracking, and progress monitoring.
• Assist in documenting GenAI use cases, best practices, and learnings for broader team adoption.

As an intern with the Transformation, Methods & Performance (TMP) team, you will support and drive organisational improvement, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making within Singapore's healthcare IT landscape. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cost and performance analysis, process optimisation, change initiatives, and the practical application of Generative AI (GenAI) tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

Unit Cost and System Analysis

• Support the analysis of unit costs across healthcare IT systems and services to understand cost structures and key cost drivers.
• Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimisation, operational improvements, and resource efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  

Supporting the G.R.O.S.S. Initiative

• Support the coordination and promotion of the G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid of Stupid Stuff) initiative to simplify processes and improve organisational effectiveness.
• Manage idea submissions, track progress, coordinate follow-up actions, and monitor implementation outcomes.
• Identify recurring themes and opportunities for continuous improvement across the organisation.
• Assist in organising engagement activities and preparing communication materials to drive awareness and participation.
• Contribute to the documentation and reporting of outcomes, success stories, and best practices for management updates.
  

GenAI Productivity Enablement

• Support the exploration and adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) tools to improve productivity and work processes.
• Assist in identifying use cases where GenAI can enhance data analysis, reporting, knowledge management, or workflow automation.
• Help develop prompts, prototypes, or simple solutions using GenAI tools to support TMP office functions.
• Contribute to documenting GenAI use cases, best practices, and learnings to support broader team adoption.

About You:

• Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentations
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools is an advantage
• Strong interest in Generative AI (GenAI) and its applications in productivity, analytics, and process improvement
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
