Job summary

Synapxe in Singapore invites applications for the Uni Internship Jan to July 2027 - Data-Driven Cloud Operations. You will join the Cloud team to analyze and visualize cloud infrastructure data, build dashboards, and develop automated workflows to support data-driven decisions.

Ideal candidates are undergrads in Year 2 or 3 pursuing Data Analytics or related fields, with familiarity in SQL, Python or R, and experience with Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Undergrad currently in Year 2 or 3 pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, CS, or related fields.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or similar data analytics tools.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and data transformation principles.

The intern will join the Cloud team and be involved in analyzing and visualizing cloud infrastructure data to drive actionable insights. Responsibilities include building dashboards, developing automated workflows, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions. It offers hands‑on experience in data analytics, cloud operations, and business problem-solving.

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

1) Data Analysis & Interpretation

• Collect, clean, and analyze cloud infrastructure data (logs, metrics, usage data)
• Identify trends, anomalies, and performance bottlenecks
• Support data-driven decision‑making through insights and reporting
• Build and optimize interactive dashboards for decision‑making
• Review and enhance existing dashboards for usability and performance
• Apply visualization and UX/UI best practices
• Consolidate and transform multi‑source data
• Assist in building and optimizing data pipelines
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency

4) Workflow Automation

• Identify repetitive operational tasks suitable for automation
• Develop automated reporting and data pipelines
• Integrate analytics outputs with alerting or automation tools

5) Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with cross‑functional teams to define KPIs
• Translate business requirements into data solutions

6) Documentation & Monitoring

• Document data models, dashboards, and workflows
• Maintain standards for knowledge sharing
• Monitor dashboard performance and resolve issues

About You:

• Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, or a related discipline
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or similar data analytics tools
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools
• Basic understanding of data analysis, ETL processes, and data transformation concepts
• Understanding of dashboard design, UX/UI, and data visualisation principles
• Strong Excel and data handling skills
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts is an advantage
• Exposure to cloud monitoring and logging tools is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment
