Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore is seeking an operator for ultra-precision CNC machining, including fly cutting, micro-EDM, and surface/profile grinding, to manufacture components per drawings.

You will perform setup, first-article verification, in-process inspection, and basic preventive maintenance to ensure quality and efficiency. Training will be provided.

Experience with high-precision machines and GD&T, plus use of precision measuring instruments, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ultra-precision machining and GD&T understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
• Basic troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Input and verify machining programs to meet production part requirements.
• Perform machine setup, test runs, and verify readiness.
• Mount and align workpieces using fixtures and tooling.
• Carry out on-machine programming, offsets, and parameter adjustments.
• Monitor tooling, coolant, and machine conditions for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot process issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping at all times.
• Comply with WSH regulations.
