Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks a skilled grinder to set up and operate surface and cylindrical grinding machines (ID & OD).

You will interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to meet dimensional requirements and select appropriate grinding wheels, dressing tools, and process parameters. You will perform wheel dressing, balancing, and alignment checks, aiming for tight tolerances, surface finishes, and geometric accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surface and cylindrical grinding machines (ID & OD).
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process sheets to meet dimensional requirements.
• Select appropriate grinding wheels, dressing tools, and parameters (speed, feed, depth of cut).
• Perform wheel dressing, balancing, and machine alignment checks.
• Achieve precise tolerances, surface finishes, and geometric accuracy (roundness, cylindricity, flatness, parallelism).
• Inspect components using micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, bore gauges, and surface roughness testers.
• Troubleshoot common issues such as burn marks, chatter, taper, wheel loading, and poor finish.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, perform basic preventive maintenance, and follow 5S standards.
