Job summary

Aurora Asia is seeking a CNC VTL Machinist in East Singapore to manufacture precision aerospace components. You will set up and run CNC VTL machines, read engineering drawings, and ensure quality through accurate measurements and in-process checks.

The role requires 2–3 years of CNC turning experience, familiarity with tooling and cutting parameters, and a strong eye for dimensional accuracy. Work week is five days with safety and housekeeping at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC VTL or CNC turning machines.
• Experience in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings.
• Familiar with CNC machine setup, tooling, and cutting parameters.
• Able to use precision measuring instruments.
• Good understanding of machining processes and quality requirements.
• Willing to work in the East of Singapore.
• Candidates with strong CNC turning experience and relevant VTL experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines to manufacture precision components.
• Set up and operate CNC VTL machines according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and machining specifications.
• Perform machine setup, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
• Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot basic machining and tooling issues.
• Ensure all finished components meet required quality and aerospace standards.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Complete production records and documentation as required.
