Job summary

You will master SQL, BI tools, and user studies to translate insights into product specs, oversee the lifecycle from ideation to iteration, and mentor the team while partnering with global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of product management in trust & safety for consumer tech.
• Proven track record shipping features that improve core metrics.
• Strong SQL and BI tooling mastery (e.g., Tableau).
• Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin a plus.
• MBA or technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Tantan is seeking a Trust and Safety Senior Product Manager with hands-on expertise to drive our Trust and Safety features. You'll own this product area end-to-end, driving business outcomes through strategic thinking, data mastery, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Ownership Own the product roadmap for trust & safety, including moderation, model-building, and user-facing tools like selfie-verification. Make high-impact decisions with 80% information, balancing long-term vision with short-term execution.
• Data & Analytics Leadership Decipher insights from complex qualitative/quantitative data (user studies, SQL/BI dashboards, A/B tests). Master SQL, Excel, and BI tools to diagnose problems and prescribe solutions.
• Product Execution Master the feature lifecycle : Ideation → PRDs with expected outcomes → Go-to-market → Analysis → Iteration. Write airtight specs and user stories, ensuring clarity for engineering/design teams. Unblock teams creatively -anticipate risks, manage timelines, and rally stakeholders. Manage timelines with stakeholders, ensuring pro-active communication of any changes.
• Leadership & Mentorship Foster team trust through clear goal-setting, proactive communication, and conflict resolution. Balance process and flexibility -know when to enforce rigor vs. adapt.

Qualifications

• Must-Haves 4-8 years as a Product Manager in trust & safety domain in consumer tech (mobile apps preferred). Proven track record of shipping features that moved core metrics (e.g., retention, conversion). Mastery of SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau). Strategic mindset : Ability to break long-term goals into executable roadmaps. Leadership DNA : Decisiveness, prioritization clarity, and stakeholder influence. Exceptional communication (English fluency; Mandarin a plus).
• Nice-to-Haves Experience in dating apps, social platforms, or subscription models . Background in behavioral psychology or gamification . MBA or technical degree (CS, HCI, etc.).
