Job summary

SINGAPORE EXECUTIVE SERVICES PTE. LTD. seeks a Trust Accountant to oversee the accurate preparation and review of trust accounts and financial statements, supporting the trust administration team on accounting matters.

Qualifications

  • Experience preparing and reviewing trust accounts and financial statements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting/trust accounting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare trusts accounts accurately and on time.
  • Prepare trusts financial statements adhering to guidelines.
  • Produce financial information and statements by deadlines.
  • Provide accounting support to trust administration team.
  • Assist in providing trust administration to managed trusts.
  • Review financial statements for consistency and accuracy; suggest improvements.
  • Monitor workflow and account status.
  • Communicate with the trust administration team and mentor teammates.
  • Record time on the company's time recording system with clear narratives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Our client, an international independent trust company, is seeking a Trust Accountant. The role oversees the accurate and timely preparation and review of trust accounts and financial statements, while supporting the trust administration team on accounting matters.


Responsibilities:


  • To ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the trusts accounts.

  • To ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the trusts financial statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards and guidelines.

  • To prepare financial information and statements to deadlines and specified targets.

  • To provide accounting support and guidance to the trust administration team.

  • To assist in providing trust administration to the trusts under management.

  • To assist in the timely review of financial statements, ensuring consistency and accuracy is maintained within client accounting and to make recommendations for improvements.

  • To assist in monitoring workflow and account status.

  • To communicate and liaise with the trust administraon team and to mentor team members.

  • To record all me on the Company’s me recording system and ensure the narrave is clear.

  • Such other dues as the management may at mes reasonably require.


Skills and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trust accounting, client accounting, fund accounting, or a related finance role.

  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines.

  • Experience in preparing and reviewing trust accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; experience with accounting or trust accounting systems will be an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Able to explain financial information clearly and confidently.
