About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts, ensuring timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the organization's financial planning and business operations.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies and variances.
Ensure compliance with corporate tax, GST, and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant regulatory authorities.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial planning activities.
Monitor cash flow and provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
Support finance-related projects and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
About you
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a commercial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, corporate tax, and GST compliance.
Experience in budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with SAP is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
