Job summary

Randstad - Corporate seeks a highly skilled engineer to lead maintenance programs for elevated transit infrastructure in Singapore. You will be the primary technical authority for guideway structures and track-switch operations, acting as incident commander during urgent recoveries.

Responsibilities include SOP development, RCA leadership, and supervision of specialized contractors and maintenance vehicles, with a 12-hour rotating shift and AWS/Variable Bonus benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of O&M experience within MRT, LRT, or equivalent rail systems.
• Hands-on experience with elevated guideways, geometric track alignment, automated track switch-machines, and third-rail power distribution.
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods and local transport safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance for guideways and rails to ensure precise alignment and ride quality.
• Oversee mechanical calibration, electrical control sequencing, and operation of track switch-machines.
• Manage structural integrity and electrical continuity of traction power networks and expansion joints.
• Act as incident commander during urgent guideway failures, coordinating rapid track isolation and service recovery.
• Draft, review, and upgrade SOPs for trackside work and enforce strict safety protocols.
• Lead root cause analysis for guideway anomalies and implement corrective actions.
• Manage high-value spares inventory, conduct field training, and supervise contractors and maintenance vehicles.
