Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Technical O&M & Troubleshooting lead to oversee guideway integrity, switch-machine operations, power rail maintenance and signaling interfacing.

You will drive safety compliance, lead RCA investigations, manage critical spares, conduct field drills, and supervise TMVs and external contractors to ensure reliable and safe rail service.

Responsibilities

• Guideway & Guiderail Integrity: lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs for concrete guideways, running surfaces, and steel guiderails to ensure precise vehicle lateral alignment and smooth ride quality.
• Switch-Machine Operations: oversee mechanical calibration, electrical control sequencing, and electro-mechanical operation of track switch-machines to flawless, fail-safe route alignment.
• Power Rail & Expansion Joints: manage structural integrity, anchoring, and electrical continuity of the traction power rail network, including routine maintenance of expansion joints and anchor assemblies.
• Signaling Interfacing & Diagnostics: use diagnostic tools and track geometry data to monitor tolerances, wear gaps, and locking mechanisms of switch blades with the signaling system.
• Guideway Recovery Operations: act as technical incident commander for urgent guideway failures, orchestrating rapid manual clamping, track isolation, and safe service recovery.
• SOP Development for Trackside Work: draft and upgrade technical SOPs for heavy trackside works, manual switch-cranking, and high-voltage power rail isolation.
• Trackside Safety Regulations: enforce strict trackside safety protocols, including Rules of the Route, TSR, and safe clearances for maintenance crews.
• Failure Analysis & RCA: lead detailed RCA investigations for guideway anomalies to deliver robust corrective actions.
• Critical Asset & Spares Inventory: manage asset registry and procurement for high-value track spares, including switch-machine components and heavy-duty motors.
• Technical Coaching & Drills: conduct field training, emergency switch-cranking drills, and safety certification assessments for track maintenance technicians.
• Track Vehicle & Vendor Management: supervise external contractors and track maintenance vehicles and oversee readiness of rail-bound cranes.

• Switch-Machine Operations: Oversee the mechanical calibration, electrical control sequencing, and electro-mechanical operation of track switch-machines to flawless, fail-safe route alignment.
• Power Rail & Expansion Joints: Manage the structural integrity, anchoring, and electrical continuity of the traction power rail network, including the routine maintenance of thermal expansion joints and anchor assemblies.
• Signaling Interfacing & Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and track geometry data to monitor the exact tolerances, wear gaps, and locking mechanisms of switch blades as they interface with the automated signaling system.
• Guideway Recovery Operations: Act as the technical incident commander for urgent guideway failures (e.g., switch-machine locking faults or power rail misalignments), orchestrating rapid manual clamping, track isolation, and safe service recovery.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• SOP Development for Trackside Work: Draft, review, and continuously upgrade technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for heavy guideway works, manual switch cranking, and high-voltage power rail isolation.
• Trackside Safety Regulations: Enforce absolute compliance with strict trackside safety protocols, including "Rules of the Route," possession management, temporary speed restrictions (TSR), and safe clearances for maintenance crews.
• Failure Analysis & RCA: Lead detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for guideway anomalies, such as switch failure-to-lock events, power rail shoe collector impacts, or guiderail structural cracking, to deliver robust corrective actions.

Resource Management

• Critical Asset & Spares Inventory: Manage the specialized asset registry and procurement pipeline for high-value linear infrastructure spares, including switch-machine components, heavy-duty point motors, insulation brackets, and customized fasteners.
• Technical Coaching & Drills: Conduct rigorous field training, emergency manual switch-cranking drills, and safety certification assessments for track maintenance technicians.
• Track Vehicle & Vendor Management: Supervise external specialized contractors, or structural inspections, and oversee the operational readiness of specialized track maintenance vehicles (TMVs) and rail-bound cranes.
