Job summary

Systematica Group in Singapore seeks a Trading Platform Support Engineer to join the Technology Operations team. The role focuses on ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure and the automated trading platform, with a 24x6 global reach and follow-the-sun handover to Europe.

Ideal candidates will have strong Windows/Linux experience, proficiency in Shell and Python scripting, and a background in trading technology or similarly complex environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years work experience in trading technology or a similarly complex environment.
• Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, support and monitoring of the proprietary trading platform during the trading day.
• Troubleshooting time-sensitive production incidents affecting BAU with priority to trading.
• Provide updates on release changes and incidents to the trading team.
• Collaborate with Europe and America to enable follow-the-sun system support; handover to European team.
• Work with portfolio managers, researchers, developers and Operations to reduce production risk.
• Coordinate with third-party data vendors or brokers to update system components.
• User acceptance testing and release planning of changes for production.
• Document procedures and troubleshooting scenarios for future incidents.
• Scripting and automation of routine tasks.
