Job summary

IDC TECHNOLOGIES (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a Trading Platform Application Engineer to support project delivery, enhancements, and production support for electronic trading platforms and integrations.

You will develop Java-based applications, automate deployments, and collaborate with business users, infrastructure teams, vendors, and external counterparties to ensure robust performance and reliable operation across the trading stack.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on software development and support experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java development for enterprise applications.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Korn Shell, Python, or equivalent).
• Experience developing and supporting high-throughput, distributed, scalable, and resilient solutions.
• Strong understanding of application performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance.
• Automated deployment and monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver application projects, enhancements, and change requests.
• Develop and maintain Java-based applications, services, and integrations.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling to improve efficiency and resiliency.
• Support onboarding, configuration, testing, and production implementation.
• Troubleshoot application, connectivity, and production issues and perform RCA.
• Collaborate with business users, application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and external counterparties.
• Support platform modernization, automation, monitoring, and resiliency initiatives.
• Participate in production support, release deployment, and operational readiness.
