Job summary

Airswift, a leader in maritime staffing, seeks a Trade Associate (Shipping) based in Singapore to work with internal stakeholders and partners to maximize vessel utilization, improve yield, and support strategic decisions through market analysis and reporting.

The role covers capacity management across trade lanes, monitoring vessel performance, and preparing regular reports to guide pricing, revenue optimization, and business planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or related field.
• 2–5 years in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics with exposure to commercial functions.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, KPI development, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of pricing, yield management, or trade lane optimization in shipping.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, sales, finance).

Responsibilities

• Manage capacity allocation and space utilization across assigned trade lanes and services to support commercial objectives.
• Monitor vessel loading performance and proactively optimize capacity deployment to maximize revenue and utilization.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners on slot management activities, including capacity exchanges and commercial agreements.
• Analyze trade performance, market developments, and customer demand trends to identify opportunities for yield improvement.
• Prepare regular operational and commercial reports to support business planning and performance reviews.
• Assist in pricing-related activities by evaluating costs, market conditions, competitive positioning, and historical cargo trends.
• Support the development and implementation of revenue optimization strategies while ensuring alignment across relevant business functions
