Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to design, maintain, and improve tooling systems in our Singapore facility.

You will ensure tooling readiness for production, collaborate with teams, and drive TPM and lean initiatives to boost efficiency and reliability. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, tooling optimization, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to minimize downtime and support NPI activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in tooling design, fabrication, and maintenance within manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets product and process requirements.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for mechanical equipment.
• Provide technical support to production teams on tooling and equipment usage.
• Support new product introduction by preparing tooling readiness.
• Apply lean manufacturing and TPM principles to tooling and maintenance.
