Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Process Technician for a 12-month contract with our client in the semiconductor field, located at NUS Engineering School, Singapore.

The role centers on supporting process development for ALD, CVD and thermal processing, performing materials characterization (SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, Ellipsometry) and maintaining lab equipment with strict safety standards. A relevant diploma and hands-on deposition/semiconductor experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Materials Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in thin-film deposition or semiconductor processing.
• Experience with ALD, CVD or thermal processing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and Ellipsometry is a plus.
• Exposure to 2D materials is desirable.
• Basic understanding of cleanroom practices, chemical safety, gas handling and lab protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support process development experiments involving ALD, CVD, thermal processing and related thin-film deposition techniques.
• Perform material characterization using SEM, EDX, Raman, PL and Ellipsometry.
• Prepare substrates, chemicals, precursors and consumables for experiments.
• Assist in operating and maintaining process tools and laboratory equipment.
• Document experimental results, run logs, SOPs and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, including safe chemical and gas handling.
• Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives for 2D materials development.
