Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking a Process Technician (Semicon) to support process development experiments at NUS Engineering School, on-site in Singapore. This full-time, 12-month contract offers opportunities for career growth.

You will assist ALD, CVD, and thermal processing, perform materials characterization (SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, Ellipsometry), prepare substrates and consumables, operate lab tools, document results, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in relevant science or engineering field.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in thin-film deposition or semiconductor processing preferred.
• Familiarity with ALD, CVD or thermal processing is advantageous.
• Experience with characterization techniques such as SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and Ellipsometry is a plus.
• Exposure to 2D materials (e.g., MoS₂, WS₂, WSe₂ or other TMDs) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support process development experiments involving ALD, CVD, thermal processing and related thin-film deposition.
• Perform material characterization using SEM, EDX, Raman, PL and Ellipsometry.
• Prepare substrates, chemicals, precursors, and consumables for experiments.
• Assist in operating and maintaining process tools and laboratory equipment.
• Document experimental results, run logs, SOPs and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, including safe chemical and gas handling.
• Support process optimization and continuous improvement for 2D materials development.
